Adagielle is now closed.

I apologise sincerely to the new members who haven’t been able to play, but mostly, to the older members, especially those who have been here the entire run of the TCG. This was a very hard decision to make, and not one I made overnight; it’s been eating me for the past few months now, and I’ve finally decided that it’s best that Adagielle closes. I do love this place, but I’m burnt out.

I don’t have the heart to run this TCG any more. It feels more like a burden to me, and only adds onto the stress from offline life that keeps me from updating in the first place. It isn’t joyous or fun for me any more, and I feel very unappreciated for the work I do. People have said things to undermine the energy I put into this site, and though I shouldn’t let it get to me, it does. The work that needs to be done is far too much, and I can’t work at a slow pace without people losing interest, which is discouraging. I’ve just moved and yet to unpack, I’m getting ready for college within a year or so, I never have time to write, I would much rather be in nature than making cards about it, and I want to run a smaller TCG that won’t demand so much of my time.

I’ll definitely miss it, and miss the members who made it worthwhile. I won’t be adopting out, so please don’t ask. And maybe in the future, I’ll have the time to bring it back—but for now, it’s time to lay this place to rest before I let it die painfully.

Adagielle’s coming back shortly~! And by shortly, I mean within the next few weeks. :D

I haven’t gotten to emails because I had a bit of a family crisis, but things have mostly settled now, and I should have more time now. With Tamaneko’s help, things will be a lot easier for me to work on here.

I have some games to finish coding, but hopefully they’ll be up by Sunday!

EDIT [March 7^th]: Monthly games are updated! Biweekly games will begin tomorrow—for now, you’ll get a PHP error if you try to access them. This is MEANT to be there. I didn’t want a single round to run for just a day, so I set them to begin updating on March 8^th. They’ll update automatically at midnight, server time (and I’m not sure which timezone that is, to be honest).

I’m changing the directory for cards, because it’s annoying, and unnecessary to keep it the way it is now that I’ve had Marfisa’s randomiser for quite some time, so if you see some broken images around, that’s why. :D;
